Family Ancestors & Genealogical Research

Weclome to our Retired to Page!

We are at the time of our lives often referred to as Retirement.  It is an interesting concept and maybe some day we will take a seat in that easy chair put our feet up and watch the world go by.

For now we have several commitments that keep us close to home and family.  Both of these make us very happy.  As Elder and Deacon we are actively involved with our church, Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn, MI.  If you're in the neighborhood on a Sunday morning stop in and see us.  You will be very welcome.  Linus is actively involved in community service with Kiwanis Club of Dearborn HeightsKiwanis Club of Dearborn Outer Drive  , and Dearborn Heights GoodFellows.   We have a 1931 Ford Model A coupe that in really good condition that we use for touring as members of the Motor City Model A Restorers Club . And of course our genealogy, we actively work at supporting members of the Dearborn Genealogical Society.  Maybe some day we'll see us in "in the stacks" researching those evasive ancestors.  We have participated in the Master Gardener Volunteer Program since 1978; gardening and lawn care are special interests for us.

And last but most importantly, we are able to spend hours and hours with our grandchildren.  And the old saying is true, "If we knew that grandchildren would be so much fun, we would have had them first."

With all this we manage to stay very busy and we won't trade it for anything.
